STUMACG60 0 Posted July 9, 2008 Hi all Having the typical crap reception, I have seen the replacement info which is great info and the price VAG charge for a new base :( . With this in mind I have checked Eurocarparts for a replacement, they do a beesting amped for £21. Does anyone have any experience or opinion on whether these are any good/same design etc??? Any advice would help. Thanks Stu
A-J 0 Posted July 10, 2008 I fitted a non amped GSF aerial (£10) to my mk3 the other day and its a big improvement.
STUMACG60 0 Posted July 11, 2008 Cheers Might give that a try, does it look like the original? Trying to keep the car standard looking. 8) Stu
A-J 0 Posted July 11, 2008 Oddly, it looked like the one on the corrado more than the one on the golf. It looks totally standard.
STUMACG60 0 Posted July 13, 2008 Thanks A-J Will go down that route I think, Took my old one out the other day still looks brand new!!! No corrosion or damage really. Haven`t tried it out on he road yet but cant imagine I have fixed anything with just removong and refitting it :( . Cheers Stu
A-J 0 Posted July 13, 2008 I was the same, the old looked fine on the inside. GSF have free delivery too.
twofourten 0 Posted October 23, 2008 Can you not get a newer VAG aerial like the ones on current Audi's? You know the cool, flat to the roof kinda one that almost looks like a shark fin?
