Wendy 0 Posted July 10, 2008 Does anyone know the emmissions for the VR6? Not at home so can't check and everything I have looked at on the web does not include the Corrado. Cheers Wendy
davidwort 0 Posted July 10, 2008 why would you need to know? road tax isn't affected by it anyway? I doubt whether VW ever produced the data to the current standards, closest you could get to would be the original quoted mpg in the handbook probably, which isn't really real world driving anyway, I don't think they ever published anything like a 'combined cycle' figure either. Wendy 0 Posted July 10, 2008 Why do you say it would not effect Road Tax? Am I missing something/being dim ??
Whitedog 0 Posted July 10, 2008 I think the new laws in road tax ie. the emissions they put out only affects cars "post 2001". Since no corrado's were ever made after this date it means corrado's aren't in the new tax brackets.
Wendy 0 Posted July 10, 2008 I did wonder if it was an age thing - so Thanks for explaining that. Wendy

davidwort 0 Posted July 11, 2008 the current proposal for pre 2001 cars is about 10 quid a year for the next 3 years, not too bad really, but if you've got something like a post March 2001 petrol automatic mondeo, you're in trouble.
