Supercharged 2 Posted July 26, 2008 Well after spending most of the week rebuilding / re-bushing my suspension I took it down to Elite in Rainham near Dagenham who are a wheel allignment specialist and wheel / tyre shop I'd called first but they don't do bookings as such, anyway arrived and spoke to somone who took my details and keys, 5 mins later it was on the ramps and you get a report of what needs doing and costings... They charge £30 for basic allignment, toe and tracking and then £15 per side for camber angle adjustment and I needed the lot (as expected) that came to just over £70 with the VAT and took just under an hour. I was able to watch it being done and discuss the work with the guys doing it which is always nice, especially if you like to do what you can yourself. They can also do a rear axle shift to adjust the thrust angle if required but this is an additional £35 and after the problems I had with the wishbone bolts I didn't want to disturb the rear beam mountings... mine is slightly out but as discussed with the guys there, I have completely even tyre wear at the back and the current Uniroyal Rainsport 1's have been on there for over 25k miles, worn perfectly evenly and still have 3mm of tread left! Anyways, they got the camber spot on (-0.40 degrees) and the car drives perfectly, tracks straight and corners confidently with no under or oversteer! I'd deffo use them again, good fast and easy service with nice air conditioned show room and waiting area with cafe 8) http://www.elitedirect.com/
