Can anyone tell me what is meant by an amp being "bridgeable"?

in simple terms in means that you can combine channels to get more power. for instance 2 channel amp may provide 100w each to left and right speaker, but bridging these to channels together will give you 1 x 200w (e.g. to a subwoofer)
