spring cup

Recommended Posts

As followed by the benthly bible. i"ve installed H&R coilovers with oem bushings/mounts.

The problem i get is the cup sticks up. This isn't the first car i've seen it on.

Like ilustarted in the pictures. Is this a normal thing? I have driven the car with the coilovers for about 4k now still no change though. Did i miss something? Is smaller cup/mount required to fix this problem?

Cheers,

Yeah - Should only be a 5-7mm gap with new top mounts...

You sure you got the order correct and did everything up to the correct torque?

mine did this the first time around when i fitted suspension, then i changed the spring plates and mounts and they now sit nearly flush.

i think it doesn't matter too much unless you get airbourne alot

hey there my friend, don't want to be cheeky here or anything as this isn't related to your thread, but where did you get your strut brace and does it fit ok - i'm after one for the front and have looked at one option so far, but i'm interested in yours too.

sorry, any information you could give me would be most appreciated - drop me a PM if you like...

hope you get your suspension troubles all sorted out

thanks very much,

Pete
