VR6 Plastic air guides - need help to locate them!

Recommended Posts

I am installing original Vr6 airbox back into the car, but i don't know what air guides i'm missing, since previous owner made a mess of it as he put K&N kit inside few years ago...

This is the picture from catalogue:

I'm positive i have the one that goes in front of the airbox (position 21.) , but those two marked air guides i'm probably missing...

Where's their location in the car, somebody must have picture in engine bay where exactly are they supposed to be?

Thanks a bunch

Emir

Actually i have no. 21. As far as not needing it, i don't know, it purpose should be probably to better direct air into airbox...

However, no.12 and no.22 are a complete mystery to me! Where are they actually located in the car???

Somebody should know, probably..?

22 looks like the bit of plastic from behind the headlight guiding the airflow into the box, but could be wrong. 12 looks like the bit of plastic between the lower spoiler and the wheelarch or possibly a wind deflector that lives on the back of the radiator/side of the cooling fan cowling. Hope this helps.

Somebody should take few pics around airbox in their unmolested stock VR6 and post it

So far:

No. 21 sits between headlight and airbox - this is official

No. 22 sits between No21. and airbox , or judging from the illustration, it goes after airbox around MAF/intake hose - unnofficial

No. 12 still a mistery

Come on ppl i believe we can figure this one out! :brickwall:

Infact YES thats it 12 sits underneath the car on the corner of the bumper; it sits flush with the bottom of the bumper. This is only on one side - passenger i think.

I don't bother refitting them as the screws are usually a complete pain in the arse.
