jondobbs 0 Posted September 30, 2008 Hi, I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I bought my Corrado with a Milltek exhaust and it's been fine up until now where it's started to vibrate against the bumper. I've replaced the old rubber which had perished with one I bought from German and Swedish but the problems just got worse. No one seems to be able to help as all the garages tell me that it's because it's an aftermarket part and Milltek don't provide the parts to keep the thing stable. The way it feels now is that I just want someone to weld it to the car. I live in Watford and wondered if there was a specialist who could help. I would be very grateful if there was someone who could. Thanks, Jon
Andy665 0 Posted September 30, 2008 Give John Mitchell a call - he is a Milltek agent and will probably be able to help you - 07974 020031
jondobbs 0 Posted September 30, 2008 Many thanks, John has provided my with the help I need. I should have bought a standard exhaust rubber mount from VW and not the 98p one from G&S. He also recommended that the exhaust is re-mounted as it might have vibrated out of position. Cheers, Jon
Supercharged 2 Posted September 30, 2008 Yeah good advice above, the VAG rubber are so much better than the GSF / ECP ones... As long as it's not a G60 you could try Powerflex poly hangers (Halfords) to hold it more secure, mine was absolutly awful until Stealth remounted it with these, it's still a poor fit but sounds great and no harsh vibrations, passed MOT the other day and the Powerflex hangers are showing no signs of wear at all after nearly 50k miles! Wendy 0 Posted September 30, 2008 I had a Miltek exhaust fitted to my car a few years back and I completly love it. Despite this - I do approx once a year have to visit Vince at Stealth to have it reset to stop it vibrating. Sadly, i can't remember the differing fixtures he has added, but I know he would always be able to assist if needed. Would have to recommend a Ram Air Filter to go with it though - the sound above 3000 rpm is orgasmic - really.! 8)

LOL - I have to say I've never been to Stealth for that particular issue... I can't believe Dinkus or the Toad have not replied to this thread yet! Quick question but why can you not have poly hangers on a G60??
