where is the oil temp senor at???

im look for the oil temp sensor and the color of the wire or wires it hooks up on. where in the motor is it at?????

on a G60 its on top of the oil cooler houlsing. thers 2 of um the big one at the back is oil pressure 2bar and the front one is oil temp.

I am pretty sure the wire is green/black on all dubs.

Is this the blue and white wire that's not connected to anything by the oil filter head?

 

They've all (G60's) got that, best guess so far has come from someone in a post I can't find at the moment... :roll: :lol: (I'll edit this to credit and with a link when I find it!)

 

The guess is that there's a spade terminal on the back of the dizzy (just by the block) and it looks like this blue/white wire should be connected to it... 8)

 

Mine's still hanging loose (so's the rest of the loom 'cos the engine's not in the car! :lol: ) until I positively know what the wire is for... 8)

I thought this wire connected to the VW system when they are doing a oil pressure test or somthing...
