Lost My Service Book!!!

Had my oil changed 2 weeks ago so thought I best stamp the service book to keep it looking good (my car has full service history from new, most of it main dealer stamps) but I cant find my book anywhere!!!

Going to pull my bedroom apart now, its either here or somewhere at work.

Hope I find it.

If I was going to sell it, does it really help havin a fully stamped book?

It all helps - some people see it as the be all and end off of service records.

 

However anyone who knows anyone that works at a car dealer knows the service stamp gets used by employees and their mates casually.

 

You can order a new one from VW and they will stamp it with the services they have a record of.

 

I'd prefer to see reciepts than a stamped service book tbh, unlikely tho at the age our cars are.

Yea I would rather see receipts too, you can look at exactly what has been done then I suppose.

I would be severely worried about the mental health of someone who refused to buy what in best cases will be a 12 year old car simply because you don't have a fully stamped service book. A big pile of receipts is far more inidicative of a car's health (or rather - maintenance)
