G60 Oil cooler fitting advice needed !

Hi all,

 

i have an oil cooler to fit on my G60, with a thermostatic plate.

So the oem water/oil plate must be remove. But what do I do with the water hoses ?

Do I have to connect them together or to close them ?

you use the pipes from a mk1 gti which had a air to oil cooler
