will a 1.8 16v rad be ok in a vr conversion?

My mate used a 1.3 rad on his 20vt so i guess so. The 16v rad should be twin core aswell

Nope.

 

Completely different pipe arrangements, and the corrado VR rad(which is bigger than the 16v unit by ~50%) struggles to cool the VR6 anyway.

You know you will also need new subframes, suspension, front crossmember, slam panel etc? Cheaper and easier to buy a VR in the current climate

Yes but bigger rad may only be single core, Look at the mk2 8v gti, has big rad, 16v has rad half the size, reason being the 16v is twin core so cools as effecient without being as big.

i got it all off big pants baby (carl) for a good deal. also it will be kinda cool being a nugget vr6. well hopefully things will be ok, will jus have to see how it all goes!
