kevjenkins 0 Posted January 1, 2009 My c has abs if i leave the car standing for 2-3 days and go to it and start it the abs light stays on, i can drive for 10 mins turn the car off go in a shop or whatever start the car up and the abs works just dandy!!!!!! But the pump does sometimes make a brrrrrrrring noise.! I think it might be losing pressure ? any ideas chaps!!!!???? Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
RDH 0 Posted January 2, 2009 My C does this, VAG com indicated it was a supply voltage fault, however since replacing the battery it seems to be ok (light is off). If the car is not used for several weeks the light comes back on, but disappears if I turn the car off and back on. I think (and could be wrong) that the light comes on if the battery is not fully charged (hence you use the car, switch off and on and the light goes out). I replaced relays and bought a spare ABS ecu to try and cure the fault before MOT, however if the battery is kept fully charged it seems to be ok for me. HTH Rich.
