pete_griff 0 Posted January 5, 2009 sorry be i can't be bothered to type out all of my mods etc - check out my sig to give you an idea... i'm paying £850 fully comp with an agreed valuation of £7k with all mods declared. i'm also allowed to drive other cars and my excess is £350. i've just turned 25 (was 24 when i insured it about a month ago) and live in a relatively (touches wood!) crime-free area. i only have the one years no claims because last year i decided to park my impreza on top of a metal lamp post! (really not badly damaged or anything - but still a claim nonetheless  ) i'm with herts insurance consultants (HIC) - there is an advert on the board index which rotates which insurer it displays. if you ring them up ask for martyn in the quotes team - absolutely top bloke (is a member on here and had a corrado himself until recently) :) edit - have a thatcham cat 1 and an additional immobiliser fitted

Storm Warning 0 Posted August 11, 2009 Which corrado do you have - VR6 Any modifications (DECLARED)- As per sig Do you have a thatham 1 alarm - yes How old are you - 30 how many NCB do you have - 9 Who are you insured with - Brentacre Is it TPFT or Fully Comp - Fully Comp How much do you pay - 390I think. £350 excess ok postcode, off road parking, but a requirement for high mileage this year (18k) pushed it - was £325 for I found real agreed value polices horrific in price, I might be wrong but if you have agreed value you'll have some sort of gap insurance policy too (it spans gap between insurance payout and agreed value in a total loss situation) . For years thought I had agreed value but the fact you have a value on your policy is rubbish to some extent. That figure is like a maximum they use to calculate your premium. In many cases they'll still get out parkers and offer you the book price. So, a happy compromise is a friendly broker who knows there stuff and will fight your corner if required (why I am with brentacre). So keep all your records and reciepts with plenty of photos so if the worse did happen you have a far better chance of getting true market value not parkers book price. Also, if you have power changing mods I think you'll be better at brentacre, their approach is better than Flux in my opinion (unless its changed) agree the power which they'll use for quote theb you can list all the other mods, make not odds (within reason, at least mine didn't effect it)
