fullpint 0 Posted January 30, 2009 Ok I have tried a search under tick over, idle screw etc but cant seem to find what I'm looking for.. At the mo my 8V ticks over at 500 rpm and cut-out three times coming home whilst sat in traffic :confused4: I don't have a manual for the car so was hoping for a little advise (or pic) as to how I can adjust it to run at just under 1000 rpm on cold :shrug: Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
rusty bolts 0 Posted February 2, 2009 hi im pretty sure you might have a problem with your idle valve, same happened to me. i took the idle valve out and gave it a good clean with carb cleaner! the other thing is to take it out and leave it to soak in petrol iv heard! otherwise you can adjust your idle from your ECU i believe somebody correct me if im wrong! not sure how you would go about it though. hope this is some help :) Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
