Replacing one Sony HU with another ..

Hi Everyone,

 

Anyone had any experience of replacing one Sony head unit for another?

 

I've been studying the manual for a little while now and I'm pretty certain that the loom's are the same on both - suggesting Sony have a standard wiring setup. In fact it looks like I just unplug the single connector from the back of the old head unit and connect to the new. Any feedback?

 

The models are MDX-C5970 (that's right, MD still!) and CDX-GT50.

whip it out and plug the new one in, should be that easy..

both headunits should come with there own wiring to the headunit, and the other end is what you plug into the iso connector

 

should be a simple swap

aye as said as long as your sony hu that your taking is out less than 9 years old the wiring harness should be identical!
