automatic seat belts/ door handle

Recommended Posts

So I go to get in my C, I unlock it, everything seems okay go to open the door and..nothing. The handle feels very loose and does not work. the passeger side works fine so I simply lean over and open the door from the inside. Okay-kind of a pain in the ass to do everytime but for a few days I can live with it. So tonight the auto seat belt starts acting up. The motor runs but the seat belt never moves. I had to physically run it along the track to get it to click then the motor stops. All of this on the drivers side. Whats next is the door going to fall off? Has anyone experienced this or know what may be going on?

Cheers in advance.

With the door handle, theres a really badly designed "cast alloy" bit that snaps very easily. Unless theres been a better method come up in the last couple of years(the last time we replaced ours(its snapped twice))you'll need to source a whole new handle.

see thread:

i cant help with the rest though :D

Well fixed the handle. But the entire driver side seatbelt mechanism needed to be replaced. $1093. To hell with it Ill use the backup latch in the column.
