MFA

Recommended Posts

Hi Chaps

I've just brought a VR6 and am trying to get to grips with the MFA (as the car did not come with a manual) :(

Can anyone tell me what all the settings are? (I know some are obvious) also when do they reset? :scratch:

A mate of mines seams to think that there are secret settings is this true, if hows is it done and what are they? :shrug:

Hope you guys can help loving the car I now know what all the fuss was about! :clap:

Switch position 1 on the stork shows you details for your current journey. It will reset if the car has not been running for 2 hours. It will show you:

* Journey time

* Average MPG

* Miles Driven

* External air temp

* Time

* Oil Temp

MFA2 will show you oil temp / time / external air temp but show you overall averages for MPG, journey time and miles driven accumulated since the last time the battery was disconnected.

Slide it inwards to 0 during a journey to reset MFA1.

some if not all of the models will also display other values the ECU and clocks recieve, for instance on a 16v by holding the MFA switch across when you turn on the ignition you can see RPM, instantaneous MPG and a few other values, I think the G60 shows boost too?

Can't remember the exact sequence of holding down the MFA switch and releasing, will be somewhere on the site if you search...probably.
