balboa 0 Posted June 10, 2009 Hi guys...got mesen a mk2 golf with a 2.9 vr6 lump...over the past few weeks the idling is starting to play up...for example 1 minute the cars idling spot on then it would start to rev up to around 1000rpm sometimes slightly over...it will come back to normal once i give it some revvege...ive put the car on vagcom and it saying no faults....any ideas what else could be causing this stupidness...ISV??? as always ...all help and advise much appreciated. redwoodkp 0 Posted June 13, 2009 would have thought ISV if its fluctuating revs when just idling. Try another ISV off a mates car or lend one to see if it is the problem before investing in a new one or dearer second hand one Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
