Boot won't open after alarm went off

Hi all

 

Great to find this website! I have an original M reg VR6 (auto...but don't hit me please..).

 

Anyway I wonder if anyone could help with a prob I have with the boot?

 

I opened the boot this morning and the alarm went off (not sure why but maybe I hadn't shut it properly overnight...). I reset the alarm and shut the boot.

 

Problem is now that I can lock/unlock the rest of the car with my GT alarm fob but the boot remains firmly shut :(

 

Any ideas?

Welcome to the forum!

 

It sounds like the boot is out of sync with the alarm - maybe try opening it manually along with the doors and resetting the alarm again.

Have you recenlty opened the boot manually with the key?

 

The rear boot lock does have a couple of different manual locking options if I remember rightly, so you can open the boot with the doors or keep it locked and open the doors. Same with the fuel flap, which I have found to my embarrassment at the Petrol Station recenlty. :nuts:
