k551 0 Posted July 9, 2009 Hello all. I need help! My sunroof is stuck slightly open and I need to sort it before it rains again!! When I press the switch, I just hear a clicking sound from the motor. i have removed the panel and checked all the wires but no luck. When it was working, it was moving freely. Is there a way of manually moving it??? Thanks
ANDREW 30 0 Posted July 9, 2009 You'll need to do a search to check for sure, but i'm sure i read that there is a manual winding mechanism under neath the sun roof trim!
dukest 0 Posted July 9, 2009 it is in the manual i think but if not search on here as said below. in short though, you take off the interior light panel and undo a couple of screws to remove another bit and then there is a supplied allen key (not like they expect it to break or anything ;)) which you use to then wind the roof back - its obvious when you see it :)
ben16v 0 Posted July 9, 2009 think the early and late are slightly different, the early one has a slot for a screwdriver with a spring pin in the middle of it, just push that in with the blade and turn
k551 0 Posted July 9, 2009 Thanks Guys. I have sorted it. It was an allen key which you had to push up and turn ('92 VR6). I think something had got caught on the rails. Once I wound it fully open it went back without a problem. I think a stripdown and greese up will be in order this weekend. It can rain all it likes now!!!
