need some help on power steering issue

ok.... so my car is making a discustingly horrible wyning noise i have checked my levels and they are fine so could this mean that my power steering pump has bust? also my steering is quite heavy to! any help would be appreciated. cheers.

Power steering belt needing adjusted/replaced. Mine made a high pitched screeching sound when turning the wheel when stationary or on full lock. Worse when it was wet
