vr6storm 0 Posted September 1, 2009 anyone know how to get the sunroof motor "timed" to work with the switch(yes I know about the allen key cover microswitch :nuts: ),just replaced my sunroof a week or so back and now the motor will not work,tried to follow the instrctions as per Bentley but not 100% sure if I have done it right,is there an "idiot's guide" kicking about for this?or is it trial by error,I think I must have totally got the "timing" off by winding the motor too far in one plane :epicfail: Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I had mine out by a little way, and it did work, just it opened it by an inch rather than closed it etc. I used a spare motor to move the roof to the right position, then put the motor back in. Otherwise you could manually wind the roof to the parked position, remove your motor, and hit the switch to park it, then reinstall it. That wasn't well worded was it?
