gregulate 0 Posted September 7, 2009 Firstly sorry for the lack of technical knowledge in this post..... My VR has been a bit rough at idle recently so investigated over the weekend. The source of the problem seems to be a hose which runs from the top of the air filter box into a small suction pipe below the air intake, which had come to rest on part of the engine and melted, so needs to replacing. Presumably I can replace with a standard run of hose ? Can anyone tell me what size I need before I buy ? (Or probably easier for me.....is there a part number I can order through my local VW garage? Embarassingly I don't even know what this does so can't explain over the phone and don't really want to drive the car to the garage until this is sorted) Thanks for your help..........
