turlock 0 Posted October 5, 2009 Folks, Anyone here ever have any problems with any of the supercharger rebuild companies as far as customer service goes? Don't want to name names yet but I'm having an absolute nightmare between dodging calls and and complete incompetence with one of the major rebuild companies. Never heard of any issues before and I'm surprised with the way I'm being treated. So am I alone???

Andy665 0 Posted October 5, 2009 I think we can app have a good guess at who you are talking about. Based on personal experience and that of others both G-Werks and JMR offer good quality rebuilds with good levels of customer service - lots of happy customers from both of them
turlock 0 Posted October 5, 2009 Exactly that's what you'd think but nope it wasn't Jabba, hence my surprise at being treated like a chump :brickwall:
Jim 2 Posted October 5, 2009 I'm not sure airing it on a public forum is the best idea mate - have you tried speaking them to complain formally? Most specialists are generally pretty hot on rectifying 'customer service' type issues and I'm sure the company you're having trouble with would be no exception! jaded2882 0 Posted October 5, 2009 I think because certain companies have better repuations than others they have a lot of work to handle. In stressfull times the 'non-urgent' stuff can fall off the radar a bit, I know I'm guilty of that in my line of work sometimes. I don't know exactly what your issue is but it's worth bearing in mind that it's better to have to wait for your car / charger to come back perfect than to have a rush job and a half arsed rebuild. However, it's nice to be kept informed when you're parting with a lot of cash! I'm not sure airing it on a public forum is the best idea mate - have you tried speaking them to complain formally? Most specialists are generally pretty hot on rectifying 'customer service' type issues and I'm sure the company you're having trouble with would be no exception! I guess it's only fair to moan if you feel you have tried to settle something as far as you can- and the suppliers section is a place where owners can look for advice via good/bad stories with companies. Everyone makes mistakes but the main thing is that it gets dealt with. An email can be a bit more formal than a phone call- maybe make it known that you aren't pleased that way and I'm sure someone will deal with it. turlock 0 Posted October 5, 2009 It's a bit of a long story and is dragging out a few months now which is doing my brain in. I've been chasing them with multiple emails to my contact in the company and a rake of phone calls aswell as an escalation to the owner which wasn't really taken onboard. I won't be naming the company yet but I might throw a write up here later on to see what people think, I'd a part to play in it aswell but I don't feel like I deserve to be treated any worse because of it. I think I've been very reasonable so far! Cheers for the feedback, I was just wondering if this was a regular occurrance. If you want me to go into detail I will but won't be naming names just yet... turlock 0 Posted October 5, 2009 Right got through to the owner again there, looks like the chap I've been dealing with all along was just incompetant. He was bang on about the situation and it looks like I'm all sorted. I'd talked to him previously and he apologised as he thought that the issue had been resolved at that stage. The actual work done by the company is top notch and I think I should've just escalated this sooner but at the same time I really shouldn't have to escalate in the first place  Woooooooo hooooooooooooo have had it parked up for over a year now so can't wait for the G60 powah !!!!!!
biggrim 0 Posted October 6, 2009 Would this be my old Black G60 matey? I wondered what happened to it after you took it back home. What have you been doing with it for the past year and a bit? (Sorry for the thread Hi-jack).

(Sorry for the thread Hi-jack). Hey Biggrim, long time no see :D Well since I got her from you I've just been enjoying her! Haven't done a huge amount bar driving, servicing and then fixing the little things that seem to go every now and again  Stopped driving it around September last year when there was a couple of bigger issues and got myself a runabout to keep me going. Worked on the problems and got them all sorted so after thoughts of selling her on and going for something else I decided to pump a bit more money in and get her back on the road! For the last few months I've been dealing with the supercharger rebuild along with little things like wiring in better speakers, new wheels and bigger service stuff. Give me a couple of weeks and I'll throw together a few pics so you can see her on new wheels (finally!) and Irish reg
