bernie1033 0 Posted October 17, 2009 i have a 2.0 8v with a very clean cloth interior but realy want leather,what im wondering is can genuine leather covers be had from the stealers and just fit them on the seats instead of trying to source an interior that cannot be got over here, appreciate any advise folks. Bruno 4 Posted October 18, 2009 Its not that simple. Many parts of the lining are bonded directly to the foam and covers. Better to have them made up. Furthermore the leather versions tended to be made by Recaro, which are actually different to the original vw versions, so there are many places, in the squab, and in the middle of the backrest where they dont match.
