16v Clutch fault

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, I'm a newbie Corrado owner with a 2ltr 16v 1993, as a hydraulic engineer I'm quite mechcanically mined. Since picking up the car recently, I've noticed that if I keep the clutch pedel depressed for any great length of time, the cluch starts to engage. Any thoughts on this fault? Is it just a case of bleeding the system or do it run from a mastercylinder? Any help would be much appriecated. I'm looking forward to running this car for a good few yrs. :D

Sounds like the master or slave cylinder is leaking past the seals. I'd take off the slave first as it pretty easy, no need to disconnect the hydraulics or that, and see if there's fluid leaking, if not it's probably the master cylinder seals
