The problem is that someone ruined the original paint by spraying it matt black, if it was the original colour it would probably worth the £800 you were asking for it, as it stands £400 is about right at a push. Breaking it down you might get more than this or you might not, thats your gamble..

end of the day its still a corrado with 10-11months MOT, 4months tax and full history.ones with a month or 2 mot go for more than 400 in much worse condition.

True, but matt black is not desirable. :nono:

Not desirable to you maybe but Id happily have a matt blacked C if it wasnt a total rustbox!

Even the very worst Rados are worth £1100. If you can, wait and try to sell it whole.

Not now they aren't unfortunately.... The bottom really has dropped out of the market it seems and even Corrados are suffering (not as much as some though thankfully).

£400 is just taking the p*ss though.... ANY car with a decent MOT and tax is worth near on £400 quid and out of a shiteheap of an old ford Escort or a VW Corrado I know which is more desireable... Even in matt black (which I happen to think looks quite good)

Nah, unfortunately not. I paid £700 for mine last year with a recent MOT (and only a few rust spots on the bottom of the drivers door) and loads of history and receipts. He'd already knocked it down from £1300 to £1000 and then took my offer as he still couldn't sell it.

As Corrado owners we all like to think we'd get loads of money for them but that attitude doesn't = sales, certainlly at the moment.

I feel like next summer i will be facing a similar dilema. Im hoping to sell my rado for a newer car, but im wondering whether breaking it will fetch more money. Once ive removed my after market parts i'll basically have a valver with 130k on the clock, rust spots and knackered paintwork. I think the only saving grace for mine would be the engine rebuild and massive list of replacement parts, but visually its ****

Well the pictures in the other thread do make it look like the matt black paint was sprayed straight on top of the original colour with no prep. Not sure if that's true or not, just what the photos make it look like.

Knowing the garage that did it, I'd say it was sprayed straight over the top. They cut so many corners they end up going round in a circle!
