jakegti 0 Posted October 20, 2009 hope someone can help. sometimes it will go up no problems, but others it will go most of the way up, stop, then start moving up again til its fully extended. other times i end up pressing the switch to make it go up fully in one go so theres nothing wrong with the switch. Is it a case of taking the mechanism out and giving it a clean? cheers
PaulMoVR6 0 Posted October 20, 2009 Mine use to do this, you could take it all apart and clean it and find out that its goosed, so i just bought a second hand motor and mechanism for 60quid and got my local garage to fit it :D
jakegti 0 Posted October 20, 2009 it cant be that bad if it still moves up and down. i will try cleaning it out and regreasing everything before replacing the motor
mr.ots 10 Posted October 21, 2009 I ended up removing the thermal overload from the spoiler motor, which was stopping the motor part way up & down, as just cleaning and greasing the runners didn't cure the problem. It's been working fine now for the last four months :) This may help viewtopic.php?f=3&t=78901
