New parts fitted and work done:-

Head gasket set, set of head bolts, radiator, skim cylinder head, hydraulic lifters, chains and tensioners, set big end shells, set rings, water pump, clutch, distributor cap, fan belt tensioner, fan belt, coolant reservoir, plugs, several hoses seals lots of bolts etc etc and some other bits that have been forgotten.

In all, the garage had it a week. Huge bill that just kept getting bigger! Should be good for another 100k now! Ian

Good to see you are taking proper care of your engine! How much will it cost do you rekon? I know that there's a company that fits a reconditioned VR^engine for £2000 exchange.
