Dubcharged 0 Posted March 10, 2003 Probably a generic chip. 70mm pulley? pah  Why not give the man a call and find out exactly what its about. Cant do any harm?
iceman 0 Posted March 10, 2003 70mm pully doesn't make any sense. wouldn't that make the chargers spin slower?? Kinda defeats the purpose does :? n't it?
funky 0 Posted March 10, 2003 there are so many different types of chip jabba, etc whos got what and how do they rate them i dont wanna buy something ill not be happy with and then find out i could have got a better one cheers funky
munkay 0 Posted March 10, 2003 is standard not 78mm? you want a 68mm aluminium pulley and SNS chip from Pitstop...180 quid Got mine done last week and cars a new beast altogether. Reckon the word of SNS is spreading quicky...see loads of posts about people switching from jabba over to them now
Dubcharged 0 Posted March 10, 2003 Munkay: Hows the car going? have you done the "running in" miles yet? By the way, you mean £165 chip and pulley :D
munkay 0 Posted March 10, 2003 Done 350miles now :) All most there..will take it easy for a bit tho. I have noticed car smeels of petrol until warmed and driven a bit harder. I haven't adjusted the timing yet tho so will have to sort that out when its run in. I was thinking it would need advanced as its running rich ?? Power etc seems good...I always run on optimax to. Any ideas?
Dubcharged 0 Posted March 10, 2003 Petrol?? You shouldn't be smelling petrol. Check the fuel lines to your new FPR, there might be a leak. The car runs stoich under normal driving, its only when the ecu switches to open loop (map) when your fuelling will increase to compliment the boost. :D
