thesupragod 0 Posted January 19, 2004 ok well i really new to the corrado and vw scene all together. I recently purchased a corrado for a hundred bucks from some guy who claims that he hooked the alternator up backwards. After examining the damage i found that the wire that was totally fried runs from the interior of the car to what looks like the fuel rail, its a red wire w/ white stripe. It took several other wires w/ it when it fried but i am in the process of rewiring the cluster. I was wondering if anyone had or will scan some pages out of the factory manual and send to me for i am totally clueless as to where several of these wires go (the guy tried half-assed to fix the problem so i am dealing with his half dissasembled job). If someone is in the central ohio area i would really like to get this sweet little thing running. Please e-mail me if you have the factory manual at mailto:[email protected]. Im really excited about this project and am looking foward to drive this little hellion around town!
Henny 0 Posted January 19, 2004 Which version of the Corrado have you got? G60, VR6 or SLC? Makes a difference on the wiring diagrams! Welcome to the forum by the way! 8)

Henny 0 Posted January 19, 2004 its a 90' G60, also does anyone know a way to check the supercharger w/out it running? AFAIK the only way to check 'em without them running is to take 'em off and open them up... I'll have a look at my wiring diagrams tonight for you as I've got them layed out neatly 'cos I'm in the middle of rebuilding my G60 at the moment... 8) $100 is still a total bargain though!
edd 0 Posted January 19, 2004 Have a look at this site buddy http://www.carsoft.ru/avtorepair/volkswagen.html there should be a link to corrado wiring diagrams for they are in a pdf format so you need adobe but youll probably have that anyway. Dont be put off by the russian letters there is english further down the page the pdfs are english anyway.... I think!! edd
thesupragod 0 Posted January 19, 2004 yea ive got those diagrams but what would really help is the sensor layout in the engine bay, ive got most of them straightned out but im still up in the air about several of the wires and a few connections. Also will the engine run (since it is map sensor) without any of the intercooler piping hooked up?
