Andy665 0 Posted December 12, 2009 Now that so many people are using machine polishers I have decided to come up with an offer for people. Having now acquired a good quality Paint Thickness Gauge I have decided to hire it out - most people cannot justify the circa £160-£200 it costs to buy such a gauge outright, I can only do it because I do occassional work on other peoples cars. For £10 per week I will send out mine, complete with full instructions (its childs play to operate) and a vehicle schematic for recordings to be noted. The cost includes postage, you simply pay the £10 and the return postage - not messing around with refundable deposits etc, I have to be able to trust people and don't want the hassle of collecting and returning deposits etc. £2 of every hire will go to Children In Need - I'm offering this as more of a service than as a way of making money, if it allows me to eventually recover the cost of the gauge then I'll be more than happy This will allow people to have accurate paint depth measurements of their cars, allowing correction work to be undertaken with confidence and without the expense of having to purchase a gauge
Guest Posted December 12, 2009 Sounds interesting. Especially with 4 cars that we would probably like to know the paint depth of! When does this service start and how do we apply?
