droppin the raddo on 16's or 17's

what would be a goog drop and offset for a set of 16in rims? i want just a little bit of undertuck...and i dont want the hideous sunken in look....and if you could give me the same info for some 17's... thank you..

I've got 16x7.5J 30mm offset Borbet Cs on my 'rado

 

It's lowered about 35mm on coilovers and looks great... 8)

 

The offset of the wheel needed depends on the model/year of your 'rado 'cos the later ones got the PLUS suspension with a totally different offset.

Henny.... is it possible to fit 16x7.5 30mm offset without coilovers??

 

im looking at buying sum 16x7.5 and would like to know about possible problems. :mrgreen:

 

Also looking at sum deepdish rims and 16x8.0 does any1 know what offset i need to use and do i need to fit coilovers......

 

my car is not lowered but would like to in the future...... just thinking ahead :)

ive got 16x7.5 rims on mine and 10mm spacers at the back, no rubbing yet but just fitted 80mm

springs yesterday.had 60mm previously and they never rubbed once.

Is that using 30 mm offset wheels........ 10mm spacer making 20mm offset on the back

35mm offset mate making 25mm. all i know is it looks good!!

I love my wheels, they really suit the lines of the car in in my opinion :)

That's what my car had been running for the best part of 10 years and 200K miles with no problems, so an early (non PLUS suspension) car should have no problems with that set up! 8)

thanx henny....... still considering the deepdish look but still unsure about what offset to use with 16x8.0........

Google is your friend! Use the translate function on either Google or Alta Vista and you should get a damned good idea as to what they're on about! :wink: 8)
