knife 0 Posted February 10, 2010 Hi all, I'm the proud new owner of a '96 Pearl Black VR6 which I picked up last week. I'll post something in the Members' Gallery soon. The service history is good, with the next service due at the end of March. The engine runs pretty well, but for peace of mind I'd like to give it good service soon. I live in Isleworth, TW7, and work near Uxbridge, so does anyone know of a good garage within 20 minutes? I've seen a few good reviews here for SE Autoparts in Guildford - I could go there (45 min drive) but was looking for something a bit closer to home. My main concerns are: - bit of a whirring noise at 1000-1500 rpm, sound like a belt rubbing or maybe some bearings on their way out - definite pull to the left - could be becuase there are two different tyres on the front wheels (bad idea anyway) but service history mentions a bent steering arm. - interesting creaky sort of sound from the passenger footwell area, when the engine is warming up Other than that though the car's in good nick. No rust on the bodywork, apart from a tiny spot under the spoiler. Leather interior is nice, and all electrics work, even the sunroof! I'd appreciate any suggestions.
