temp power loss..........9A woes

noticed recently that now and again, usualy when cold when pulling away the car feels like it has around 50% of its normal power, this only happens for around two seconds then shes back and has plenty power again, i have had a quick check around the engine bay for air leaks etc but im not 100% sure what else to look for, the throtle pedal also appears to have some play but im not sure this is of any relevence,

any help would be greatly appreciated
