plummer 0 Posted February 22, 2010 Was investigaing a hanging heat shield on the exhaust when discovered that had some more troubles on steeing front, had noticed the streeing was little off earlier in the day. Looks like the bolt had snapped connecting the control arm to the anti-roll bar(is it??). Could anyone tell the name of the parts highted in the red box on the attached image. beastie4126 0 Posted February 22, 2010 I believe they are called drop links. Make sure you get the right ones as the VR ones are different.
V-Dubstar 0 Posted February 22, 2010 Yeh or ARB links. VR part no: 535 411 315 8v/16v part no: 191 411 315 A I assume you don't need the part in the bottom left of the red box, the rubber bush?
Swompy 0 Posted February 22, 2010 Ya that is the ARB link, just changed mine as one had broken, Rather easy job to do as well.
plummer 0 Posted February 22, 2010 Thanks Folks, Any other parts that should be replaced in that area while doing the change?.
plummer 0 Posted February 22, 2010 Just noticed that the CV boot had got a puncture due to the loose drop link, does anyone know the part number of the CV boot and is it a big job to replace?.
beastie4126 0 Posted February 22, 2010 You are probably looing at about £15 from somewhere like GSF for a boot kit, fitting it will involve taking the hub off so not a ten minute job. I would be more inclined to get the drop link replaced and then do both cv boots along with the wishbone bushes etc.
