vr6paul 0 Posted January 27, 2004 i think i have found a small crack in the windscreen down by my tax disc. I have felt on both sides of the screen and can't feel anything but there is definetly something there. Any ideas anyone? Could it have been the cold? Anyone know anybody to contact about getting it sorted fast? Help please! Got a long drive on friday and don't want to do it with no windscreen. Cheers Paul
jmuggali 0 Posted January 27, 2004 A crack there wont fail an MoT etc. Getting it sorted though cost me £230 for a replacment (none of the big chains stock a green tint at the time! :( ) Had to have mine replaced after my little bro stole my car while I was on holiday and his phyco girlfriend put her heal through it from the inside
Supercharged 2 Posted January 27, 2004 If it is a crack, it will get bigger, especially with the freezing weather at the moment - doesn't your insurance have a £50 windscreen excess?
vr6paul 0 Posted January 27, 2004 no windscreen cover as only tpft. Ahhhh!!!!!!!! Sounds like a guy in glasgow can do it for me. You guys recon its best to get it done now rather that waiting? cheers Paul
jmuggali 0 Posted January 27, 2004 It will only get worse :( may as well bit the bulit, however make sure they do a better job than they did on mine, left the sealer on the inside messy, had to trim it back myself.

vr6paul 0 Posted January 29, 2004 guy from Autoglaze is here now and has been for the last two hours. I think he has just about got the old one out. Said it was horrendously fitted and has caused him some hassle. So could have been the problem with my wet carpet! Anyway will post how i get on. Fingers crossed. cheers Paul
