02m vr Conversion

Has anyone completed this conversion to a raddo or Mk3 golf?

I am just starting this and have a few questions. I know I have to change the bell housing's over for the box to fit a vr.

But when I change the cases over do I change the 02m diff for the vr diff as the drive shaft flanges are different sizes.

If i'm to keep the 02m diff what flanges do I need for this?

My box is a FZQ code.

Any help is much appreciated.

So this is not left as a trailing thread.....

 

 

02m 4 Cyclinder gear is not swappable onto a 02a VR6 bellhousing due to the 02m having two output shafts making this physically impossible.

Can use a 02m 6 clyinder bell housing for swap if you were really stuck on using the ratios from a 4 cylinder.

As some have done with a 16v 02a gearbox with vr6 bell housing.

 

However, the 02s maybe worth looking into as from initial quick reads seems as though the internals and outer casing may fit a Vr6 bell housing.
