New to the world of 'corrado' heating!

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

Just got my hands on a really clean 92 vw corrado 1.8 16v, always wanted one and got a steal when this came up.

Just noticed today that the heater was blowing cold when on the warm postion, checked the top hose, it was boiling but the bottom hose was just luke warm. I gave it a couple of squeezes and checked the heater it went warm again for about 5 mins, now its back to cold. where should i be looking first? the carpet mats dont appear to be wet, temp gauge sits around 80 degrees approx. Could this be the thermostat?

looking forward to your replys

regards

Mark

The bypass valve to the matrix could be shot. Happened on mine- just replaced it with some copper piping, and it warms up a treat again 8)
