Recaro seat cover

Recommended Posts

Just seen a for sale thread for a set of electric recaros similar to mine and having seen the price I ve decided to invest in some seat covers!!

Seen some on eBay but the vw sets are £57 posted ! Is this about right for a set of covers or can someone recommend somewhere else to pick them up from?

Not sure but i wouldn't mind some for my Recaro's, at the moment i'm using some from CostCo of all places, not very good but i've had them years and they are deep enough for the bolsters (didn't fit on my mk2 cloth Recaro's though, seat was too deep)would love a decent set!

Personally I've never understood the idea of seat covers.

I can see the validity if you constantly driving to bog-snorkelling comps and might get the seats a little dirty and use them as a barrier; but for permanent use!?!

They look all saggy, don't fit great/match factory interiors that well. Besides that why would you want to cover up Recaros? They are lovely looking seats and comfortable too, I can't see how £60.00 covers will benefit them. Just maintain and clean them. The last thing I would want is to use them covered for ages then take the covers off and find the movement of the covers has increased cloth/leather wear. At least you can see what is going on...I wouldn't dream of covering my leather Recaros. Just clean and maintain and reconnolise when seriously worn.

Just my 2p, sorry.

I do alot of part time building and general outdoor mucky work and cant afford to run two cars. i have cloth recaros which pick up the dirt easily. Obviously you wouldnt have them covered the whole time i was only planning on covering my driver seat during the week. The 60.00 quid covers are made for the vw recaros so cant see why they wouldnt fit properly or cause more damage? Perhaps you have time to endlessly clean your seats or perhaps your able to stay clean at all times but im can do neither hence the original question.

Going to try find somewhere with a carpet cleaner then get them properly clean before sourcing a cover.

Sorry, can't help you but I too am planning to get some seat cover for my non-recaro cloth seats.

ATM the saets are quite 'dirty' looking (from previous owners), but I'll have them shampooed then covered. Better safe than sorry!

I'm with Harry too, i'm an Uphosterer by trade so constantly got glue, wood and fabric bits all over me. When i'm going to work and back covers help keep the seats clean, i also have a staffie pup so hair gets everywhere, when i pick people up etc etc i just whip the covers off, simples
