The fan on my Storm sometimes kicks in after a short drive of a couple of miles, even if the water temp remains reasonably low (ie before it's even reached the half way mark). This can only be a good thing as VR6 motors seem to generate a lot of heat in a small engine bay. Suggest you only worry if the fan doesn't come on.
