Gap at bottom of windscreen

Recommended Posts

The other day I noticed the rubber seal/trim down the driver side of the windscreen had bulged out. I duly pushed it back in. I had a new windscreen installed when i first got the car about 3 years ago. It was done by a mobile unit.

Anyway I had a look around the rest of the windscreen to make sure everything was ok and noticed there is about a 2mm gap at the bottom of the windscreen on the drivers side. The plastic trims near the wipers does not lap over it.

Is this likely to let any water in (haven't noticed any) or is it anything to worry about. Don't know if its always been like this or gradually moved over time

Ill post a pic shortly

I had a little gap on mine too...I just used some B and Q black gutter sealant on mine(and a sealant gun to squirt the thing out) To make it a neat job and to stop any excess sealant getting everywhere on the trim I used some masking tapes between the gaps.
