Central locking??

Recommended Posts

Hi guys, the cental locking on my rado has a mind of its own.

It used to work all the time but now it works when it feels like????

Are the pumps bad for going on these?

Thanks for any help.

vacuum hoses can get leaks if knocked about, but it's more likely that the switch on your driver's door handle that triggers the locking is dodgy, does the passenger side do the same?

it's a while since I had mine apart hard to remember exactly how it's set up,

I guess it depends if it's just water in a connector and a bit of corrosion or if something has actually broken in the handle/switch.

I'm pretty sure the passenger side should operate the CL, so it may be something that's affecting the whole system, perhaps a fuse or the pump on the CL vac system (in the boot, drivers side rear wheel arch under the carpet)

Wil get on the case, cheers. :)
