ww-promo 0 Posted July 19, 2010 Just wondering if anyone on here can help. I’ve been away for a week and on my return started up my VR to warm her up. Whilst sat on my drive I then noticed a clicking/sparking noise coming from under the bonnet so had a closer look. I then noticed a few rogue sparks flying around my lead/spark plug interface. Does this mean my plugs are knackered or is it something else more serious? Their only 13/14 months old. Ive had a good search but not quite found anything. Cheers. Rob_B 0 Posted July 19, 2010 Sounds like the lead is knackered or not pushed on enough

ww-promo 0 Posted July 20, 2010 Yea your right; I mean rogue - as in unwanted! Cheers. Will have a look at the lead. Need to get hold of a spark plug tool first. Thanks
pete_griff 0 Posted July 21, 2010 that's almost definitely the leads! you could try insulation tape round the metal bases, but tbh, it's a bit of a $hit fix! i tried several layers of insulation tape on my old plug leads when they were buggered - it helped a bit, but it didn't cure it. your best bet is to get hold of some new leads. you can get them relatively cheaply. speak to DG Autotech about supplying you with some dubpower make some good quality leads that are also surprisingly cheap - ask for those :D
