kongo127 0 Posted February 6, 2004 HI! My 1990 G60 started some days ago showing incorrect fuel consumptions on the MFA, and sometimes is shows 0,0 Liters/km when i am on the road! This have never happened before, then suddenly appears 35 Liters/Km (example). The problem is the same in the MFA 1 and in MFA 2. On the idle (in hidden mode of the MFA with instant comsumptions) it shows 1,6 Liters/Km wich is normal, but then start fluctuating with 21LPM, 13LPM, 43 LPM, then it shows 0,0 LPM and so... On the road it´s the same thing (abnormal consumptions). So strange! I don´t understand what is happening! How does the ECU makes the calculation of the fuel? Does it have a probe after the gas pump? Could it be the wiring? Can somebody help me please? :?:
Henny 0 Posted February 6, 2004 It's all done by a vaccuum hose onto the back of the speedo. Check that this hose hasn't come loose or become damaged in the engine bay. If I remember correctly, it connects onto the valve for the brake servo on UK cars, but I don't know about LHD cars... :?
