window rubbers

hi all i need some help in finding out where i can buy all new window rubbers as doing a change of colour and want all the glass out so will need all the new rubbers. i will need windscreen, side windows and tailgate one too. any ideas please let me know thanks

you can try GPC or Trade Parts Specialists (TPS) or last option is the VW stealers themselves.

 

I did the door rubbers recently - just to warn you..it aint cheap mate

 

currently looking to replace the inner door seal (the one that the door shuts onto to prevent water going into the car itself). There is a thread on the forum where an alternative seal can be bought from www.sealsdirect.co.uk

 

I am just waiting to hear from other people that have used the alternative seal to see how good it is.

if removed correctly you should only need to replace the windscreen trims

 

heated rear rubber should pull off glass before cutting it out

 

rear quarters a bit more tricky to remove the trims are part of the glass and not replaceable

cool thanks for the info, ive been told you can cut the side windows out carefully with a good knife and lots of soapy water. does anyone know why it didnt notifie me that people have posted on here
