W3RKD 0 Posted February 8, 2004 what pins are you measuring across ?
steveo29 0 Posted February 9, 2004 the 2 outer pins
kongo127 0 Posted February 10, 2004 I think the best way to adjust the Co2 Pot is at ambient temperature. So, with the engine cold! I did it to mine like that... On the outer 2 pins at cold adjust to get 500 ohms! The engine is working great! :)
GazzaG60 0 Posted February 10, 2004 the CO_Pot has 2 functions intake temp fuel trim. the 2 outer pins should be static. standard setting is around 500 IIRC middle is temp. have anothe try. i may be wrong but a fluctuating CO_pot is indeed fluct
steveo29 0 Posted February 10, 2004 anyone else got a comment...its consistant cold but then changes with engine temp
beavis 0 Posted February 10, 2004 500ohms is a just a guidence base setting. Every car has a very slightly different setting to run at its maximum potential. 500 ohms +/- 150 ohms is again a general guide. We use the wideband lamba probe to set the cars up now using the results of what we find to richen/lean the pot off. It is a good idea to test the resitance of the CO pot quite regularly as about 1 in 10 car we see has a failed/failing unit. This is usally indicated by figures 1500ohms plus, not being able to adjust the resitance down to with in the 500ohms region or simply it not responding at all. New units are in the region of 50 odd pounds from barry stealer.
