I actually quite like the thought of whole segments of road (for commuting) that are automated and people just get into pods and programme destinations. It would put a stop to a LOT of the problems which plague motoring these days - road rage, accidents through driver error, rubbernecking, etc etc. It'd make transportation significantly more reliable and less stress inducing. But most of all I want a chip in everyone's car which makes them pull over out of the way whenever I want to overtake them!
