streetpreache47 0 Posted September 14, 2010 I have taken my car to my local friendly car mender who I use for my mini and knows what he is on about. I knew that I needed the brakes doing. Front discs and pads sorted easy, but he rang last night saying he is having problems with the rear getting the carriers off. Turns out the allen headed bolts are rounding due to being 20years old and all. He reckons he may have to take the rear axle off to get at it. What sort of price are we looking at for the discs/pads and this rear axle? It is the first MOT I have (been using as a daily no problems for 11months!) hopefully much more years of carefree motoring, otherwise you may see a for sale thread shortly!
