bassjamm 0 Posted September 24, 2010 Hey My Corrado has got some rather nice seats in it from an Audi (so I'm told). Thing is, they're from a 4 door car where there was no need for the seat to flip forward to gain access to the back seats. It's a bit of a faff having to slide the seat forward and turn the knob thingy every time I need to get into the back so I'm hoping there's a way of nodding the seat? I've had a look at it but can't feel see or feel anything that would be a quick release function or that sort of thing! My only other thought was that there are problem some professionals that deal with interiors and retrains that may be able to sort it? Any thoughts? Thanks in advance. KADVR6 0 Posted September 24, 2010 get a pic up, but you will realy struggle to modify the actual seat so it flips forward though, there are seat base frames that tilt the whole seat forward but none for a corrado (i have tried in the past) so if you buy some of those frames you will have to butcher them up to fit into the seat rails, and they aint cheap to start off with. so in other words sell the audi seats and fit something that works properly. bassjamm 0 Posted September 24, 2010 I was hoping that wouldn't be the case as the seats are really nice and the red leather just looks sick! If I did have to replace them though, how would I go about that and getting the leather to match the rear? I'd imagine it'd be pretty hard without doing a full retrim right? As for pics, what am I best to take photos of? The actual seat or underneath it etc?
KADVR6 0 Posted September 24, 2010 get a pic up of the full seat mate, and its not hard to dye leather if you found another style of front seat instead ie some tt front seats. karl
bassjamm 0 Posted September 24, 2010 I won't be able to get any decent ones for a day or two but here's the sale thread from when I bought it which has some of the seats. http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=315945&pid=2941163&st=0entry2941163 When I was looking at them it seems as though they've actually been spray painted/dyed to the colour anyway! That surprised me a bit!
KADVR6 0 Posted September 24, 2010 thats spooky as thats one of my old sets of seats, i dyed the fronts after i did a diy re-trim on the rear, so it looks like the dye has stared to peel off the parts of the front seats that arent leather, thats probably because the seats are out of a rover and not an audi. these seats cannot be modded to tilt forward, sorry
bassjamm 0 Posted September 24, 2010 Woah...so just to clear it up...these are your old seats? Did you used to own the car then? Any idea what the colour name is as I've just had a look for leather dye but not knowing the colour is going to make it a real ball ache! Looks like if I do get a different set of seats,I'll have to re-dye all the seats! What seats fit into the Corrado's then? I'd live some Recaro sports if I can but it's a case if getting the right colour I think!!!

MK4 Golf seats flip forward like that, I dont know weather they'ed fit though.
